Principal's Message

Welcome to Laurel Ruff                                           

Welcome to Laurel Ruff Transition School, a public special education school, proudly educating transition aged young adults, ages 18 to 22 in the San Juan Unified School District.  Our purpose is to support young adult students with disabilities as they gain the skills needed to achieve their post-secondary goals in the areas of education, employment, and independent living.   

We will start this school year fully staffed and ready for a great year ahead.  Communication is the key to success here at Laurel Ruff.  As we work to build students' independence, we want to assure that their family is always in the loop.  I encourage parents/guardians to have direct email contact with your student's case manager.  Four years at Laurel Ruff goes by very quickly, and we want to assure we are setting students up for success.
